Grateful
Looking through my work over the past year, I've found some subjects that I clearly love to photograph. Babies are prominent (shocking, I know!), but I also noticed that I love photographing hands. After my yearly meditation about what I'm thankful for, I realized why I'm so drawn to hands. They're capable of so much expression that can be captured in an image: love, comfort, support. They're what you hold on to.
Every day I'm thankful for the tiny baby hands that curl around my thumb, for the chubby little toddler hands that reach up for mine, and for the hands of a husband who always seems to know when my own need a reassuring squeeze. Or a fist bump.
Happy Thanksgiving all.
