Things You Should Do: LEAF

If you love camping, and you love music, and you have kids of any age and would love to take them to a music festival with you but not worry about folks getting too rowdy, get thee to LEAF (The Lake Eden Art Festival) STAT. The festival is held twice a year in May and October just outside beautiful Asheville, NC. We tend to go in October because that works better for our schedule, and the scenery is beautiful. I initially stumbled on LEAF when researching the best music festivals for families with kids, and it is a home run. Great music, kids activities throughout (so you're not stuck in the bouncy castle hell zone staring longingly at the beer you had to part with to enter the hell zone), fantastic food, wandering performers, and just an all-around good vibe. Folks are Camping Rowdy, but not Obnoxious/Shield Your Childrens' Eyes Rowdy. The vast majority of attendees are families.

I've posted about LEAF before, and I'm sure I will again because we love it so so much. The best part about this TYSD installment is I'm giving you the heads up BEFORE it happens. Tickets are still available for October and, if you can't make that, they'll go on sale for May before you know it. It's been a rough 2017, I guarantee you need some LEAF in your life.
