Campground Review: KOA Bar Harbor Oceanside
This Summer, we took a road trip with the camper up to Maine. Our first stop was several nights at the Bar Harbor KOA Oceanside. This was our first KOA experience, as we usually go with state parks. Since I don't have any other KOA experiences to compare this to, I can't rate it against other KOA's, but in terms of campgrounds generally, this one was fantastic.

Pros:
- The location right on the water is gorgeous, and it's only 20 minutes or so to Acadia and Bar Harbor.
- The staff were all extremely nice, responsive, and knowledgeable.
- Many of the sites (including ours - 352) are all grass.
- There is a car that drives around and delivers blueberry pie which is maybe the best thing I've ever seen at a campground. There's also someone who comes to the campground to cook and sell fresh lobster, but we had lobster off-premises.
Cons:
- It would be great if there was more than one laundry room, as it was fairly busy.
- The showers in the larger bath house were open to both the men's and ladies restrooms. There are individual locking doors on each shower stall, but it would be nice if there were dedicated ladies' and men's shower areas.
